Tilton, Abiel Foster. 483, 484. Born late 1700s. d.1866. h/o Cynthia (Thompson) Tilton. Abiel was from New Hampshire, Cynthia was from Massachusetts, but they met and married in Canada. f/o 10 children: 4 daughters, and 6 sons including Fred Tilton. Abiel established a brick kiln after the move to Danville in 1836. He was a contractor and builder, and constructed the dam across Vermilion for the mill built by Amos Williams. 723. Donated $30 to the Civil War fund of $8,000.
