EAST MOLINE '97 Ann C. Tilton, 101, of East Moline, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline.
Ann Williams was born November 4, 1910, in Hartington, Neb., the daughter of William and Catherine Schwaller Williams. Her family moved to Carroll, Iowa, when she was 2 1/2 years old. She married Lloyd W. Tilton on January 22, 1944, in St. Malachy's Catholic Church, Chicago. In 1952 she and her husband moved to East Moline. Lloyd died October 5, 1963. She had worked at the Buddy L Toy Company, East Moline, for 14 years. She had been a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, and was a devout Catholic. She had taken care of Monsignor William Cleary in her home for five years.
Among survivors are cousins and her special friends the Rex and Sharon Scranton Family of Coal Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant sister, Leone.
