Born Dec. 2, 1898, near Prospect, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Elizabeth (Garret) Berry.
She married Bernard Tilton in 1915, and he died in 1955. She then married Wilbur Boyd in 1957, and he died in 1964. In 1969, she married Vern Howison and he died in 1977.
She was a homemaker, of the Baptist faith <http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=sunseventh&id=I6297 \\ >, and had worked at Clark and Gaston for 19 years and at Siegs Drug Store <http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=sunseventh&id=I6297 \\ > for 15 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Southard, Richwood; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren and a great-great-great-granddaughter; and two nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by a sister.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday at Stofcheck Funeral Home with the
