David Peacock, a well known resident of Boone, died suddenly at his home, 1505 Carroll street, at 10:00 o'clock Wednesday morning. Mr. Peacock had been a sufferer with rheumatism for about two months and for the past three weeks had been under the doctor's care and confined to his bed a portion of the time, but his condition was not considered serious and his death was a great surprise to his family and friends. Deceased was born at Trenant, Scotland, October 21, 1859 and came with his parents to this country when five years of age. They settled first in Utah, but later moved to Illinois where they resided until 1872 when they came to Boone county and settled at Moingona. Here he was united in marriage to Miss Carrie Cook.
