William M. Tilton of Holmdel died last Friday of paralysis. He was 67 years old last October. He had been sick for the past three years with diabetes. On Monday of last week he was stricken with paralysis and death ensued four days later. The funeral was held on Monday and the body was buried in the Holmdel cemetery. Rev. Garrett Wyckoff had charge of the service.

Mr.Tilton was born at Colt's Neck and worked on different farms until 1892, when he moved to Holmdel and became sexton of the Holmdel Reformed church. He also had charge of the Holmdel cemetery. He was a member of the Methodist church, but as there is no church of that denomination at Holmdel he attended the Reformed church. When about 25 years of age he married Miss Ann Green of Long Island and she and two children survive him. The children are Edward Tilton of Eatontown and John Hull Tilton of Holmdel.
