(BOWDON, Ga.) Harold Edward Herren of Bowdon, Ga., died Nov. 28, 2011. He was 74.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. EST at Harmony Congregational Methodist Church in Newell. Bro. Ken Bowman and Bro. Buck Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Prior to the funeral services, Mr. Herren's body will lie-in-state at the church from 1:00 until the funeral hour.

Mr. Herren was born July 21, 1937, in Randolph County, Ala., to Evelyn Lovvorn Herren and the late Robert L. Herren. He was retired as a truck driver from Arnolds Transportation in Austell. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and Bowdon Lodge 206 F&AM.

Survivors include his wife, Shelby Jean Herren; his mother, Evelyn Herren; his children, Chris Herren and wife Brandy and Velinda Herren Tilton; six grandchildren; his sisters, Carolyn Stewart and Judy Runyan; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Mr. Herren was preceded in death by his three brothers, Lovvorn, Albert and Tim Herren.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Robinson, Scott Herren, Chad Herren, Josh Herren, David Hurst, and Ken Runyan.
