Ira Tilton the Grandfather of John Lyon Tilton was born in maine, the son of a Connecticut Farmer who died at a remarkable age of 105 years old, and he him self lived for more than three quarters of a centry, passing away in 1878, while his wife, who bore the maiden name James survived him some Years.
