Aboard that Merchant ship is John Fillmore the great - grandfather of Millard Fillmore (13th President of the United States) and with the help of others, Fillmore retakes the ship.

May 12 - John Phillips' Crew arrested and tried for piracy, May 24 - Captain Johnson a General history of the Robberies and Murders of the Most Notorious Pyrates is published, May 27 - William Fly leads successful mutiny aboard the Elizabeth, in which Captain Green and his Mate are thrown overboard, and becomes a Pirate.
