DATE OF DEATH different..
Abraham TILTON, was born in 1795, in Pittsfield, then Rockingham Co., New Hampshire. He was the son of Benjamin TILTON and Hannah BATCHELDOR. Benjamin was farming in Pittsfield. Abraham had an older brother, John, b. 1788, sisters Mercy, b.1790 and Eunice b. 1793. His father, Benjamin died 5 October, 1798 in Pittsfield as result of falling off his horse. He left the upbring of his children to his wife Hannah. Very little is known of Hannah and the girls after 1800.

Benjamin married Hannah Batchelder, daughter of David S. Batchelder and Elizabeth Sweatt, on 7 Mar 1786 in Hampton Falls Rockingham N.H. (Hannah Batchelder was born on 14 Nov 1768 in Hampton Falls, Rockingham N.H. and died in Feb 1843 in Hampton Falls Rockingham N.H.)
