Mrs. Mary Studt (nee Altman) was born November 5th, 1842, and died February 28th, 1896, aged 53 years, 3 months and 2 days. The deceased was born in Olterstadt, Germany and came to America with her parents and located in Johnson County, Iowa. She was twice married and was the mother of 10 children, two preceded her to the eternal world. A husband and eight children, 6 ones and two daughters, a step-daughter and 8 grand-children are left to mourn.
She with her present husband came to Glasco, Kansas, in 1879.
She loved the Lutheran church of which she was a member. During her last sickness, which extended over six months and was attended with much suffering, but she was never heard to complain. Almost at the last moment she said to her husband, …
