PAMPLICO - Jimmy William Tilton, 54, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, in a Florence hospital.
He was born in Florence, a son of Lottie Bazen Tilton and the late Alexander Tilton.
He was employed at ABB as a tool and dye maker. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Mount Elon Free Will Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and a member of the church board. He was a graduate of Hannah-Pamplico High School and Florence-Darlington Tech.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Hardwick Tilton; his mother, Lottie B. Tilton of Pamplico; a son, Bradley C. Tilton and his wife, Joanne, of Effingham; a daughter, Tabatha D. Tilton and her husband, Christopher Brennick, of Florence; three sisters, Mary Ann T. Bellflowers of Effingham, Betty T. Edgeworth of Scranton and Shirley T. Reardon of Kingstree; and two grandsons, Tony Tilton and Christopher Tilton, both of Effingham.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Morris Funeral Home in Hemingway.
The funeral will be at at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Elon Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be in Berea Baptist Church Cemetery near Galivants Ferry.
Jimmy married Linda Hardwick, daughter of Easmon Hardwick and Eunice Graham, on an unknown date. (Linda Hardwick was born in 1953 in Florrence South Carolina, died on 23 Apr 2011 in Galivants Ferry South Carolina and was buried Berea Baptist Church Cemetery.)
