Obituary: GALESBURG -- Barbara G. Bledsoe, 68, of 1171 N. West St. died at 11:40 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 1997, at her home.
Born Dec. 30, 1928, in Galesburg to Braidie H. and Marian Hilgren Tilton, she married Clettus E. Bledsoe on June 18, 1949, in Galesburg. He died Feb. 21, 1989.
Surviving are three sons Timothy L. of Galesburg, Ransome E. of Gilson, and Benjamin L. of Missoula, Mont.; one daughter, Marianne G. Godsil of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren.
She worked as a coordinator for Knox County Council for the Developmentally Disabled for eight years before retiring in 1997.
She was a volunteer for the American Literary Association and the Mental Health Association.
She was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church in Galesburg.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg. The Rev. Robert Wakefield will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Barbra married Clettus E. Bledsoe in 1949 in Galesburg Illinois. (Clettus E. Bledsoe was born in 1926 in Illinois and died on 21 Feb 1989 in Galesburg Illinois.)
