SOLOFF, LOU TILTON 94 - of Northfield, passed away peacefully in the company of her family on March 12, 2013, at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. She was born on June 15, 1918, in Atlantic City, to Charles Parsons Tilton and Margaret Evans Tilton, and remained a resident until 1950, when she and her husband, Dr. Roy L. Soloff, moved to Northfield. Among her ancestors were early settlers of Absecon Island, including Jeremiah Leeds and New Jersey State Senator, Lewis Evans. Mrs. Soloff and her husband were always active in local political affairs and she was involved, as well, in community activities such as the Atlantic County Historical Society, the Needlework Guild of America, Campfire Girls and Daughters of the American Revolution. For several years, she was a member of the Northfield Planning and Zoning Board and the Board of Adjustments. Her husband of 52 years preceded her in death on March 12, 2003. Also preceding her in death were her parents and her sister, Margaret M. Tilton. She is survived by her son, W. Court Soloff, and wife Diane, of San Angelo, Texas, and her daughter, Andrea Leeds Rickett, and her husband Steve, of Fair Lawn, New Jersey. Also surviving are grandchildren, W. Trevor Soloff and fiance Connie Stansell of Raleigh, NC, Julie Jewell and husband Larry of San Angelo, TX, Ashleigh Soloff of Fairfax, VA, Kevin Dierschke and wife Becky of Las Vegas, NV, Traci Suarez and husband Marcos of Fair Lawn, Michael Rickett and wife Rosa of Fair Lawn, Missy Huling and husband Grant of Leander, TX, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services, officiated by the Most Reverend Bishop Jerry Ogles, D.D. of The Anglican Orthodox Church, will be held on Saturday, March 16, at 11:30 a.m., at the Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield. Friends may visit the family from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, also at the funeral home, prior to the services. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, it was Mrs. Soloff's wish that contributions be made to The Anglican Orthodox Church, Box 128, Statesville, NC 28687, the Atlantic County Historical Society, 907 Shore Road, Somers Point, NJ 08244, or a charity of choice .
