Robert E. Tilton, 57, of Bow Street died Tuesday at Concord Hospital. He was born in Concord, the son of Robert and Anona (Mount) Tilton. He graduated from Concord High School in 1963. He served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Tilton worked as a firefighter and EMT for the Concord Fire Department from 1974 until 1992. He volunteered with the Concord Fire Department from 1970 to 1974 and was a member of American Legion Post No. 21 of Concord and the Color Guard. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Survivors include his wife, Jaceline (Couture) Tilton of Concord; and two daughters, Tammy Tilton of Pembroke and Michelle Tilton of Concord. A sister, Erdine Grondin, died previously. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. John Johnson, chaplain of the Concord Fire Department, will officiate. Burial will follow at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. Donations may be made to the Concord Fire Department and Rescue Squad, 24 Horseshoe Pond Lane, Concord 03301.
