Thomas Hardy
- Born: 1605, , , England
- Marriage (1): Mrs. Lydia Hardy in 1634 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts, United States
- Died: 4 Jan 1677, Haverhill, Essex, Massachusetts, United States at age 72
General Notes:
One of the twelve founders of Ipswich, Mass - founded 1 Apr 1633. Came from England with Gov. John Withrop. His children came with him, according to "Mass. Pioneers" by Pope. Birth of children were not found in Rowley or Ipswich vital records, as claimed by two separate IGI sheets, but in Bradford. They were in Rowley in 1653 and in Bradford in 1663. Thomas' will was probated 7 Mar 1678. He is supposed to have married (2) Ann, but I have found no marriage records for him. Since Lydia outlived him, it seems impossible that he had a second wife. Will does not mention daughter, Sarah so it is possible that she preceeded him in death. Will was made at Merrimack Village, near Haverhill.
