Daughter of Hon. George Yeaton Sawyer and Emeline Tucker, his wife. Granddaughter of William Sawyer and Mary Yeaton, his wife; Daniel Tuckerand Hannah Tilton, ( b. 1783), his wife, m. 1806. Gr.-granddaughter of Hopley Yeaton and Comfort Marshall, his wife; JacobTilton and Mary Haye s, (1756-1829), his wife, m. 1778. Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of William Hayes and Mary Plummer, (d. 1812), hiswife. Hopley Yeaton, (1740-1812), served as lieutenant on the ship Releigh,Continental navy. He wa s born in Portsmouth; died in Eastport, Maine. Jacob Tilton, (1749-1822), served through the war; was in many battlesand suffered the priva tions of Valley Forge. He died in Sanbornton, N. H. William Hayes responded to the Lexington Alarm from Sanbornton andsubsequently took the plac e of his son William who had left the serviceill. He died at Ticonderoga. Also No. 29423.
