William Henry Tilton raised Co.K of the 31st Regt, Maine Vols, also raised a Cavalry Troop of which he was Commissary Sergeant. He was Honorably Discharged at the close of the War he was the Oldest Pioneer Resident of La Crosse at the time of his death.
