Samuel died intestate in 1725/26. His children came to an agreement on the division of his property, as his wife was deceased. Abigell (sic), Meribah and Josiah, the children of Samuel Tilton "late of Hanmpton"(sic) took part of this division.. Samuel received the house and barn of his father, plus assorted other pieces of land. Josiah was the recipient of 60 acres of land in "Kingstowne" Abigell and Meribah were given 17 acres of land "originally owned by Robert Page in a place called the Quarter of Mile. This instrument was allowed June 13 1726 and was witnessed by Nathaniel Weare and Josiah Wester.
Abigail the first, Hannah the first and James, must have been the victims of some sort of epidemic since they all died within days of one another. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note for: Samuel Tilton, 14 Feb 1674 - 1709 Index Individual Note: BIRTH-DEATH: History Of Hampton Falls 1638-1892, J Dow, VOL 1 & 11Lucy Dow, Salem Mas, Sa lem Press and Publishing CO. 1893. 1901-1903;birth in 1675 Page. 994.
