Services for Clem Tilton, 68 117 West Ithica St., Caldwell, who died Thursday at La Grande, Ore., Hospital following a heart attack, will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Peckham-Daken-Davis Chapel. Rev. Harold N. Nye and Rev. Evern Harshman will officiate. Interment will be in Canyon Holl (Sic-Hill) Cemetery with the graveside rites under the direction of the Caldwell Odd Fellows Lodge no. 10.
He was born July 12, 1889, in Cloud County, Kansas, was reared in Kansas where he farmed and also did carpenter work. He married Sadie Helen Boucher, Jun 13, 1917, in Concordia, Kansas. In 1937 they moved to Caldwell where he was engaged as a carpenter. He was a member of the 100F Lodge of Glascow, Kansas. And also Coldwell, and a member of the first Methodist Church.
Survivors besides his wife, Mrs. Sadie Tilton, is a son, Otis Tilton, of East Wenatchee, Washington; three sisters, Mrs. Reta Dillon, Glascow, Kansas., Mrs. J.B. Melton, Moore Park, California., and Mrs. D.W. Tilton., Boone., Colorado., and two grand children.
