He married , first, Anne --; he m. second,Susanna, widow of William Tilton of Lynn, Mass.; she died 2 8 (11) 1654.Children, Joseph, Benjamin, Esther b. (4) 1638, Mary d. 26 (11) 1639,Mary b. 2 9 (7) 1645, Margaret, Ann. His "son in law" [step-son] AbrahamTilton was apprenticed 5 Dec . 1653, to John Hood, weaver, of Lynn; whosewife Elizabeth, acting under a power of attorne y from her husband thenin England, released the apprentice 10 Nov. 1656, although she had previously sent him to Peter Tilton, living in Connecticut. [Norf. Rec. I.]Samuel Tilton, anot her of the children of "my late wife Susanna,"received a tract of land from Mr. Shaw April 6 , 1660, and receipted infull for his portion 12 June, 1661, and for that of his brother Dani elTilton 13 July, 1663.He died 29 (3) 1661. Will dated 25 Aug. 1660,codicil dated 20 Marc h following, probated 10 (8) 1661, beq. to sonsJoseph and Benjamin, daughters Margaret Ward , Ann Fogg, Hester, andMary; sons Abraham and Daniel Tilton to have their portions when the ycome of age according to covenant.

Susanna married William Tilton, son of Robert Tilton Jr. and Elizabeth Focell, on 18 Dec 1638 in Wolston Warwick England. (William Tilton was born 29 Feb 1586 in Wolston England, died on 28 Jan 1653 in Lynn Essex Massachusetts and was buried Hamilton Cemetery in Hamilton Essex Mass, Find A Grave #56954790.)
