Philip E. Tilton
Philip E. Tilton age 92 of North Weymouth formerly of Dedham passed away Dec. 18, 2012 at the Pope Nursing Home in Weymouth. Philip was a Civil Engineer all his life. He retired from the E.B. Badger in Cambridge where he worked for 10 years. He also worked 27 years for Metcalf and Eddy in Boston. He traveled through out the world to work on major projects. He graduated from Dedham High School, Saint Lawrence Academy in Groton, MA and Brown University. Phil lettered in hockey at both Dedham High School and St. Lawrence Academy. He also served in the U.S. Army 327th Bombardment Squadron during WW II. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy R. (Cullen) Tilton. Devoted father of Paul C. Tilton of Plymouth and Philip J. Tilton and his wife Michelle of Weymouth. Brother of Henry Tilton of Kennebunk, ME. Loving grandfather of Benjamin Tilton of Newbedford, Myles Tilton of Plymouth, Corey Tilton of Weymouth, Connor Tilton of Plymouth and Carly Tilton and Cody Tilton both of Weymouth. Brother- in- law of George McGonigle of Cincinnati, OH. Uncle of Peter Tilton of ME, Maureen Hannon of OH, Patricia Sullivan of Boston, Robert McGonigle of PA and the late Philip Tilton of ME.
