Tilton, age 75, died peacefully at home on the farm at Bruno Ridge in Yellville, Arkansas Tuesday, January 28, 2014. He was born March 13, 1938 to the late James Henry and Lily Edna (Burns) Tilton at Welcome Ridge, Arkansas. He graduated from Flippin High School before moving to Kansas City where he worked at Rock Island Railroad until he retired. Survivors include his wife, Kathlyn (Duggins), of the home ; three sons: Steve Tilton of Yellville, Arkansas; Randall Tilton, and his wife, Kathy, of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and Clint Tilton and his wife, Cassie, of Yellville, Arkansas; two daughters: Sandra Booth, and her husband, Scott, of Amsterdam, Missouri; and Laura Smith and her husband, Jerry, of Timbo, Arkansas; a brother, Max Tilton of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a sister, Betty Phillips of Leslie, Arkansas; one granddaughter, and seven grandsons. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary; two sisters: Mary Tilton, and Aileen Parker; and three brothers: Charles Tilton, Don Tilton, and John Tilton. Arrangements are private.
