4."Mayflower" by Nathaniel Philbrick p. 233, states that his Maternal grandmother was Related to Richard Warren. When he was 33, he was the first Englishman to settle in Narragansett Bay. His first wife was a daughter of William Bradford's stepson, Constant Southworth. He left his wife and son alone to become a leader in the King Philip War.
