Dr James Tilton

 General Notes:
Dr James Tilton in the United States War Of 1812 General, Continental Congressman. When the Revolutionary War began he joind as a surgeon and in 1777 was put in charge of the military hospital located in princeton, New Jersey . Was appointed by the Delaware General Assembly as a member of the Continental Congress and served from 1783 to 1784. Served a number of years in the Delaware General Assembly. Appointed as Surgeon General of the United States Army, serving from 1813 to 1815.
