John G Tilton Died from a gun shot when lowering a wagon down a cliff and when the wagon hit the ground the gun went off and hit him some 15 feet away In the bowel area and there was no hope of getting the bullet Out and he Passed with his family and friends around him.
John married Minerva Caroline Loughborough, daughter of John Fletcher Loughborough and Margaret Swaze, in 1853 in Rochester New York. (Minerva Caroline Loughborough was born in 1822 in Pittsfield New Hamphire, died in 1913 in Rochester New York and was buried Live Oak Cemetery in Clayton Contra Costra California.) |
